All Steel with Tuck-N-Roll Interior
PLEASE STOP AND READ THIS!
PLEASE TAKE IT TO HEART!
BELIEVE WHAT YOU READ & NOT WHAT YOU SEE!
BEWARE: Read and listen, don't go by what you see.
MILEAGE 58,664, but who really knows after 82 years.
HISTORY: This car was bought from an old man in bad health.
He could not drive it anymore,
Model A Fords require turning effort and a heavy foot to stop.
He said the car was used in the opening scenes of the movie
the Green Mile.
The movie stared Tom Hanks and was shot in the
old prison near Nashville, Tennessee.
All this is undocumented, but I believe it to be true.
TITLE: Clear Tennessee title in hand.
ARE THERE ANY RUST PROBLEMS?
No real rust problems showing, no rusty holes,
no rust bubbles and the underside has no rust issues
in the frame or floors.
I do see rusty color metal on the underside,
it only needs to be coated.
IS THERE ANY ACCIDENT DAMAGE? None that I can find.
WHY AM I SELLING THIS CAR? I'm a classic car restorer,
but when I find a vehicle I like and can sell for a
fair market price, I buy it, fix a few things and resell.
PAINT: The paint is drive and enjoy quality!
It is not a good paint job,
the pictures make it look much better than it is.
It has faded spots, rough paint and several touched up chips.
It is a solid body with no rusted out places,
but it has some dings, some real small dents and
bad prep before the last paint job.
This would not bother some people,
but the plain fact is the paint is poor on a good car.
PICTURES: Beware of Internet pictures;
they make a bad car look perfect.
I could take advantage and tell you the paint was good
and you would not know it till you got the car.
FACT: The car is a good car, it is worth what my price,
even if the paint is weak.
It will make someone a good fun car that doesn't
want to pay over $15,000 for a car.
The car is worth a paint job if you don't want drive
and enjoy quality paint.
I'm repeating this more than once because
I will sell the car anyway and
I don't want to deceive you.
CHROME: Radiator grill shell is good,
bumpers need re-chrome or replacement with
the available reproductions,
door handles are painted.
INTERIOR: Good interior, it is not the original material,
but I think it looks good.
It's not band new, but has no wear, no holes,
no smoke smell and it is clean.
UNSERSIDE: No rust problems,
just not painted and detailed for show.
GLASS: GOOD! Clear with no milky spots and no cracks,
the side windows roll up and down good.
TOP AND HEADLINER: The top is in very nice condition,
the headliner is very good.
SOUND SYSTEM: Roll the window down and
hear the engine purr.
AIR CONDITIONING: Roll the windshield out.
ENGINE: It s a 4 cylinder flathead that runs good,
It has no unwanted rattles, No blue smoke.
EXHAUST SYSTEM: Good used condition.
It has a little exhaust leak where the pipe connects
to the engine manifold, I'll try to fix it, but no guarantee,
you may have to take it to a muffler shop.
TRANSMISSION: 3 speed manual that shifts as it should,
these did not have synchronized gears.
REAR-END: Original and is in good condition.
BRAKES: Mechanical brakes, no juice, no hydraulics .
These stop, but you have to apply your foot.
STEERING: Model A Fords will not impress you with
the way they drive.
WHEELS AND TIRES: The tires are in good condition,
They are wide white side-wall tires,
They have no cracks and no real wear.
LIGHTS and wiring: They work and the wiring is OK!
GAS WORKS! HORN WORKS!
SPEEDOMETER does not work!
AMP GAUGE WORKS!
HOW FAST WILL THE CAR GO! It will go faster,
but a good cruising speed is between 35 mph AND
40 miles per hour.
HOW DO THE DOORS AND HOOD OPEN AND CLOSE?
I think they open and close good!
Model A Ford doors are made to hang over on the back edge,
this is the way they came from the factory.
DEFECTS AND PROBLEMS: These are just what I remember
off the top of my head!
1. Weak paint.
2. Speedometer is not working
3. Probably something else I missed.
