1936 Ford Humpback Street Rod - It is titled, licensed and safety inspected
in Texas, and drives very good at
highway
speeds,
and it runs cool.
It is a frame-off, the frame was stripped,
a
Mustang II front
suspension was installed,
as was a Ford 9" rear with dual springs,
the frame
was rust-proofed.
The engine is a rebuilt early 302 with pop up pistons,
Tunnel Ram intake,
Holley 4bbl, and high performance cam.
The tranny is a C4.
It is all set up
very nicely.
The complete floor pan was removed from firewall to trunk,
and
replaced with
sheet steel to create a very flat floor
with just a small tunnel at the
firewall.
The car
has new guages including tach, installed except for the speed0,
a new 12V
wiper, a new Jensen am/fm CD stereo system,
a new aluminized Flowmaster dual
exhaust
system,
new brakes, new shocks, the windshield is nice
so I just installed a
new seal around it,
the driver's door glass is cracked,
the rest of the glass
is new including
the rear window.
The paint job is not all that good and
some of the outer
body work
is not so great,
it looks good enough that it took the 1st place trophy
for
the under-
construction class.
It needs a overhead console, headliner, running board
covers,
and some trim pieces.
The interior has 4 Peterbuilt air-ride bucket seats,
new door
panels and new carpet.
