The truck is a CANADIAN-made 1945 Chevy Pickup.
The similar made American 1945C Chevy pickup had a total production of 6,202
high priority civilian units according to GM with only a handful remaining today.
So this Canadian Chevrolet would be much lower in production and EXTREMELY RARE
as a surviving model year today.
The truck in 1945 was issued for high priority use to the California Standard Oil Company
and in fact the company logos can still be faintly seen on the doors of this truck.
The truck is all original and never modified or suffered from an earlier restoration.
It is how it would have looked in 1945.
It still contains the 216 6 cylinder motor that needs complete rebuilding
but everything for this truck is here.
The fenders, box and cab are in excellent shape and
have not suffered the typical life of dents that these trucks usually get.
A heavy-duty bumper-guard was fabricated and put on which can be removed
(and should be to show off that grille)
but luckily over the years has protected the front end and grille.
This is one of the most unique pick-up trucks you will ever find.
This Chevy truck is deserving of a complete, clean restoration.
