Gorgeous Black Exterior
Built in the Norwood Assembly Plant in January 1957.
It has Standard Brakes,
Manual Steering, and
Original Column Shift 3 Speed Transmission.
I've owned the car since the mid 80's.
It was Totally Off-the-frame Restored in the Very Early 80's.
Upon Completion, the owner then took it to a
the Classic Chevy International Show and
Got Knocked by the judges because
the underside of the floor was painted flat black, and
because the color on the gas door springs was incorrect.
He was so disturbed after all his work
that he sold the car.
In time, the lacquer paint began to deteriorate because
the metal had not been prepped correctly.
So I did a refresh.
Over the 2 year period ending in 2012,
I spent another $38,000 for a Total Refresh Including Strip to Bare Metal,
Correctly prep the bare metal, and
Refinish with single stage PPG Black Urethane.
All components of the Engine,
with the exception of the short block,
are original as came with the car
(heads, intake manifold, WCFB carburetor,
air cleaner, exhaust manifolds, timing
chain cover, and distributor).
The short block is a fresh 80's Chevy Factory 4-bolt Main 350.
It now has less than 3,000 miles on it.
The car has had its Chrome Replated,
All of its Stainless Trim Polished, and
Its Brakes Completely Rebuilt.
It has a New Water Pump and New Radiator.
Its Carburetor has been Rebuilt,
Front Suspension Rebuilt,
Third Member and Suspension Removed and Refinished,
Underside of floors refinished in correct red oxide,
Inside of the trunk stripped and painted,
This chevy had its engine completely detailed, and
This car is Clean, Clean, Clean.
It is one of the Best Nearly Bone Stock '57's
You will see in a long, long time
for this kind of price.
PRICE: I'm asking $50,000.
