1964 Thunderbird - 390ci; mechanically decent
Used on occasional 300mi+ Sunday trips,
but has some engine and transmission oil-only leaks;
Complete renewal/reconditioning of front suspension components
and power steering system in winter 2001.
Electricals generally good
Respectable under-hood appearance
Silverblue paint - faded, but very straight body with
no through-rust whatsoever under-body or sides;
black upholstery in very good, untorn condition
(barring driver's seat which has several seams of stitching open
but otherwise generally OK);
new replacement maroon carpet (in box - not yet installed);
Instrumentation good condition except clock/radio,
Single crack in dash pad.
Bad points: black vinyl roof, headliner and trunk inner covering are
each a bit dodgy,
Carb needs rebuild (kit in box supplied),
rear electric windows not functioning.
Supplied are reprinted workshop manual,
Complete electrical circuit diagram booklet and
glove box owner's manual - all in unblemished condition,
as well as specialist parts supplier catalogs
and assorted other bits and pieces.
