![]() when I bought it in 1991, By August of 1992 I drove it to Reno NV for Hot August nights. As of 5/02 there is still only 53,000 miles on this rebuilt nail head 401 motor. I have all receipts from the work I ve had done. The 400 Transmission was rebuilt in 10/01, and has a shift kit installed. The radiator and heater core was changed 11/01. I ve done my best to keep this car maintained. (Brakes, tune-ups, and oil changes). On 4/02 I had changed drivers side outer rear axle bearing. This car needs small exhaust work, Paint, and some interior (tan) I have not looked into the front-end or the clamshell headlights. The air conditioning does work, but needs service. The car has no large major dents and has never been in an accident since I ve owned it. It was first purchased with no front fenders. Update as of 11/15/02; with still only 58,072 miles. I had my mechanic come by to confirm my gut feeling of having a spun the crank bearing on # 6 cylinder. I don t know how/why. The motor is not frozen, and is currently parked.
