Top Well Liner, Seat Upholstery, Door Panels,
Custom Autosound AM/FM Radio, Glovebox Liner,
Door Sill Plates, Dash Knobs, Cigarette Lighter,
Spark Plug Wires,
Dash A/C Vent Duct Hoses and Trunk Mat.
Fairly recently, I replaced the Battery,
Power Steering Hoses and Dash Speaker.
Over the last 8 years I have also replaced the Alternator,
Headlight Dimmer Switch,
Rearview Mirror and Voltage Regulator.
I contacted a previous owner that said that he had
completely rebuilt the front suspension.
He said he rarely drove the car and that it mostly
just sat in his garage during the ten years
that he owned it.
Vehicle history records that I obtained from
the Texas Dept. of Transportation do document
his ownership from 3-13-91 to 12-16-01.
Somewhat written in code,
this Texas DOT document also lists another previous owner
"REMARKS RELEASE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION RESTRICTED.
ACTUAL MILEAGE. CCO ISSUED: 03/13/1991.
VEH TRANSFERED : 2001/12/16.
The previous owner also said that the car was painted
as is before he bought it in 1991.
Although it is a beautiful car,
the paint is starting to show it's age.
The odometer now reads 53,688 miles.
I cannot claim to KNOW that this is the actual mileage
on the car as the Texas DOT document is
open to interpretation.
An old oil change sticker on the windshield does read,
"NEXT SERVICE DUE: 5-7-98 or 51,304 Miles."
Also, a Texas Inspection Sticker dated 6-26-93 reads,
These records appear to document the accumulation of
only 5,551 miles over the past 17.5 years.
The car is located in Pensacola, Florida USA.
What's more collectible than a convertible or a muscle car?
A muscle car convertible, of course.
